The scene at Ralph Lauren’s show at Skylight Studios is always frenzied, and this morning, an A-list crop of editors (like Anna, who came with Blake Lively and 60 Minutes correspondent Morley Safer, all seen above) relaxed into those comfy cushions to take in one of Ralph’s most gorgeous collections in several seasons. (The latest arrival? Suzy Menkes, who sat down as the lights were dimming into a front-row seat that was cleared for her at the very last minute.) As the designer himself took a final turn down the runway, Chic Report couldn’t help but notice those guests who received the ultimate stamp of approval–a handshake from Ralph, while the world watched. This season’s VIPs? Aside from Lauren’s devoted family, who gave the patriarch a standing ovation, Ralph paused to greet the mighty trifecta of Bruce Weber, Sandra Brant and Ingrid Sischy. He then offered a few waves to those in the back rows before grabbing Teri Agins‘ hand, chatting briefly with the Journaliste, and retreating to backstage. Ladies and gentleman, on to London!
